Candice and Karl Smalls founded Kara Cares Inc with one vision in mind, helping families like theirs navigate a confusing medical system.

Our History
When our youngest child was diagnosed with Kernicterus, our lives were forever changed. We had to learn through trial an error the best and most efficient ways to help our daughter. Our goal with Kara Cares Inc, is to assist other parents through this trying time.
Our Mission
To advocate for and with parents of children with special needs, raise awareness about the needs within our community, and to provide assistance to families that can't get the help they need.
